For many years, fences have been built from wood, stone, metal, cement, plastic, etc. Whatever the fence was made from, the same problems would occur. The first problem is typically cost. Fences are sometimes expensive to build, but over time they can also be costly to maintain and repair. The other problem is the lack of effectiveness. If the fence does not receive proper maintenance, weak spots develop and the pet can eventually break through. Worse still, is when the fence is maintained properly and your pet still manages to escape. If the fence is not tall enough, your furry friend may be able to jump or climb over it. Some pets may begin digging underneath and possibly damage the fence. The training involved is secret to the success of an underground pet fence. The transmitter sends out a signal along the wire which will define the boundary zone. The lightweight and waterproof receiver collar is worn by the animal you want to contain. When the receiver collar is close to the edge of the containment area, which is defined by the signal along the wire, a warning is sent by the collar. It is when the pet persists to go beyond the boundary area; a harmless corrective pulse can be felt. The reason behind this correction is not to punish the animal, but to get their immediate attention. The pet will soon adapt to the new training and will memorize their boundaries that have been set by their master. To speed up the training, we suggest purchasing a package that includes boundary flags.

Key Definitions:

• Transmitter: Transmits the radio signal and is the center of the Pet Area. Pet Area: Distance from the Transmitter where the pet can roam freely.


• Boundary Zone: 2 to 3 foot wide area outside the Pet Area where the pet’s Receiver Collar will begin to beep and then begin to deliver a Static Correction. The correction will start in the Boundary Zone and continue anywhere beyond the Pet Area. Note: The Receiver Collar is equipped with a safety time-out feature that will stop correcting after 30 seconds if the pet remains outside the Pet Area. Receiver Collar: Receives the radio signal from the Transmitter.


• Correction Level Button: Adjusts the level of Static Correction the pet receives outside the Pet Area.


• Receiver Indicator Light: Indicates the level of correction at which the Receiver Collar is set. This light also serves as a low battery indicator.


• Contact Points: Deliver the safe Static Correction when the pet moves into the Boundary Zone.


• Power Jack: Where the Power Adapter plugs into the Transmitter. The Transmitter is powered by a standard 120-volt outlet.


• Boundary Switch: Adjust according to the size of the Pet Area desired.


• Power Light: Indicates when the Transmitter is on.


• Boundary Control Dial: Adjusts the distance from the Transmitter to the Boundary Zone. Note: Adjusting the dial does not change the level of Static Correction on the Receiver Collar.
